Traditional door craftsmanship

The swastik motif is the hero. Each door panel is CNC-routed in DuPont-grade Corian and then hand-carved — the swastik is cut to 8 to 10 mm relief depth and finished by a senior artisan so the motif reads from across the room. The stepped three-detail at the mandir top is a classic Indian temple signature, achieved through three offset Corian layers hand-bonded at seamless joints. The door opens on concealed hinges with a magnetic catch so no visible handle is needed — you simply touch the top lip of the door. The Om pattern on the rear panel (visible to anyone standing at the altar) is hand-carved at the same relief depth. Because the mandir is compact, the cleat system is a single Z-cleat load-tested to 50 kg — plenty for this footprint.

Material choice

DuPont-grade Corian only — the one material that lets us hand-carve a swastik at 10 mm relief without the edges chipping a year later. Corian accepts seamless bonds for the stepped top detail, stays dimensionally stable on the wall-mount cleat, and wipes clean of diya smoke with a damp cloth. Forty-plus sheet colours; finishes in high-gloss, satin-matte or dual-tone.

Corian thickness 12 mm standard (the compact format doesn't need the heavier 19 mm stock). Depth kept deliberately low — 10 to 14 inches — so the mandir doesn't crowd a narrow corridor or small bedroom.
