Large Corian Temple with Sitting Stand and Roller Curtain
A temple built for extended sitting aarti, not a five-minute namaskar. This large Corian mandir pairs a cushion-ready sitting platform with a full-width retractable roller curtain that seals the shrine between pooja sessions — keeping dust, lizards and daylight off the idols in housing-society temple rooms, ashram halls and large villa shrines. Built for scale, not for a 1-BHK niche. Every panel is solid DuPont-grade Corian on a reinforced steel sub-frame, manufactured by Satguru Creations — Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ installations delivered across India and export markets including USA, UK, Canada and Australia.
Design theme and where this piece belongs
This large mandir sits naturally in four institutional and villa contexts: (1) housing-society clubhouse pooja room — wider sitting bench, matte Corian, neutral palette that suits shared use; (2) ashram or derasar prayer hall — taller shrine chamber, traditional arched crown, ivory Corian with jali side panels; (3) designer villa dedicated shrine — tapered pillars, hand-carved deity backplate, dual-tone satin finish; (4) overseas gurudwara or ISKCON-style community temple — knock-down panel construction for container shipping, full roller curtain for sanctum closure during kirtan breaks. The roller curtain is fabric-agnostic — silk, brocade, or heavy cotton — and runs on a concealed top rail.
Craftsmanship built for commercial traffic
A temple that gets touched by a hundred hands each week has to be engineered differently. Our Mumbai factory builds this unit on a reinforced galvanised-steel sub-frame that takes the load of the sitting platform, the idols and years of pooja-plate traffic. The Corian panels are 12 mm standard or 19 mm premium, joined with colour-matched seams that read as a single piece. The roller curtain housing is a separate CNC-routed Corian fascia hiding a 25 mm spring-loaded roller with key-lock stop; the cord is silicone-coated and rated for 50,000 pull cycles. The sitting platform is sized for two seated devotees with a recessed anti-slip pad. Panels are modular — the unit breaks into four lift-through pieces that clear a standard 30-inch apartment lift. GST invoice is supplied on every order.
Material and finish
The surface is authentic DuPont-grade Corian — a non-porous acrylic solid surface, not a cheap PVC-acrylic laminate. It does not yellow under constant diya smoke, does not warp in a humid pooja room, and does not crack if an oil lamp topples. Seams are chemically bonded, then sanded flat, so the entire shrine reads as one continuous carved block. Over 40 Corian colours — Glacier White, Warm Ivory, Canvas, Pearl Gray, Designer White and deeper heritage tones. Finish: high-gloss, satin-matte, or dual-tone. Compared to marble, the piece is a third of the weight and survives lift transport. Compared to teak, it does not warp in coastal humidity.
Size specifications for commercial halls
This archetype is built in five large-hall sizes and scaled to site for anything bigger. Large 72″ W × 42″ D × 96″ H — housing-society pooja rooms up to 12×14 ft. Premium 84″ W × 48″ D × 108″ H — ashram inner sanctum with sitting aarti for four. Temple-hall 96″ W × 54″ D × 120″ H — clubhouse and corporate prayer halls. XL temple-hall 120″ W × 60″ D × 132″ H — overseas gurudwara main shrine. Built-to-site for 12-foot-plus walls, full-height derasar chambers, and multi-deity line-up temples up to 16 feet wide. Corian thickness 12 mm standard, 19 mm premium for high-traffic surfaces. Sitting platform depth extensible to 48 inches for seated aarti by two devotees.
Customisation options
- Corian colour: 40+ DuPont-grade sheets, dual-tone combinations, gold-leaf inlay available.
- Pillar profile: square fluted, tapered round, hand-carved kalash, or plain slab for institutional minimalism.
- Roller curtain housing: Corian fascia with motif, or plain concealed soffit; fabric supplied by you or sourced by us.
- Storage: integrated drawers for pooja saman, cabinet for society bhajan books, lockable compartments.
- Deity panel: carved, printed, or mirror-finish backplate for multi-deity line-up.
- Finish: high-gloss, satin-matte, dual-tone, or anti-microbial coating for hospital chapels.
- Lighting: optional warm-white halo, festival RGB, or institutional cool-white for long hours.
Where this temple fits
Housing-society clubhouse pooja room: the large 72″ unit with bench platform serves rotational pooja for 40+ flats. Ashram or derasar hall: premium 84″ with jali side panels and sealed roller curtain for overnight closure. Hospital chapel or multi-faith prayer room: anti-microbial finish, cool-white lighting, wipe-clean Corian surface. Corporate office prayer room: understated palette, sitting platform that doubles as bench. Overseas gurudwara, ISKCON temple or ashram: knock-down construction ships in a 20-foot container, re-assembled on site with numbered parts. Educational institution prayer room: vandal-resistant 19 mm Corian, lockable storage, institutional warranty paperwork.

Why Satguru Creations for commercial orders
We are the factory, not a reseller — you buy direct from the workshop that cuts, carves and polishes the panel. Founded in 1975, we were Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer and have delivered 10,000+ units, including large institutional orders to housing societies, ashrams, corporate campuses, and overseas gurudwaras across four continents. Bulk-order capacity, GST invoice, proper export paperwork, and a lifetime consultation guarantee — if a panel cracks, a seam shifts, or the roller curtain jams, we fix it. Our 4.8/5 average from 291 verified customers is visible on the storefront.
Who builds your temple
The factory runs under three generations of the founding family. Design is led by in-house architects trained in agama-shastra and Vastu proportion. Six senior Corian carvers with 15–30 years each handle hand-finish after CNC. A licensed electrician vets every lighting loom. Our site-survey team travels to Maharashtra orders and liaises with society secretaries, trustees and ashram committees. Commercial builds carry structural sign-off notes from our production engineer.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Do you provide a GST invoice for society or trust orders?
Yes. Every commercial order ships with a proper GST invoice issued to the society, trust or company name. We also supply HSN-coded export invoices for overseas shrine orders.
Q: Can the temple fit through a standard apartment-lift door?
Yes. The unit is built as a modular panel system that disassembles into lift-through pieces under 30 inches wide. We reassemble on site with colour-matched seams that read as a single piece.
Q: Do you supply and deliver to overseas gurudwaras or temples?
Yes. Over many institutional installations completed to USA, UK, Canada and Australia. We ship knock-down in a 20-foot container with numbered parts, assembly video and remote WhatsApp support.
Q: How does the roller curtain work and how long does it last?
The curtain runs on a spring-loaded 25 mm roller concealed behind a Corian fascia. The mechanism is rated for 50,000 pull cycles. Fabric is user-replaceable without dismantling the shrine.
Q: Can we order in bulk for a multi-site rollout?
Yes. We handle bulk orders for builder clubhouses, PSU campuses and multi-branch ashrams. Volume discounts, staggered delivery schedules, and a single GST invoice per site are available.
Q: Is a site survey required before quoting?
For Maharashtra orders we visit the site free of charge. For other states and overseas, measured drawings plus site photos are sufficient — we render in 3D and confirm fit before cutting.
