3D Backlit Jali Corian Temple with Peacock and Om Mandala
This is the 3d backlit jali corian temple we build for homeowners who want a single dramatic focal piece — peacock-pattern jali fretwork on the side panels, an Om mandala carved into the deity backplate, elephant motifs along the base, and a continuous warm-white LED channel behind every fretwork section so the entire cabinet glows from within at night. The peacock jhaali is hand-finished feather by feather; the Om mandala is 3D-carved at 12 mm depth. Hand-built by Satguru Creations, Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ installations delivered across India and to USA, UK, Canada and Australia.
Design theme — which interiors it fits
This level of fretwork plus 3D carving suits four interior contexts: (1) premium villa pooja room as the centrepiece — the cabinet anchors the room; (2) designer 3-BHK with traditional Indian aesthetic — peacock jali reads as artisan heritage; (3) NRI luxury condo with Indian-design interiors — the backlit composition reads dramatic at evening aarti; (4) housing-society or community temple — full ornate composition at temple-hall scale. Pattern and motif density is full at this build level — we recommend the larger sizes (48 inch and above) so each motif reads at its intended detail.
Peacock jali plus 3D mandala fretwork engineering
This build combines two crafts. The peacock jali on the side panels is CNC-rout, then hand-finished cut-out by cut-out — six senior artisans round each feather opening so the jali reads soft, not laser-brittle. The 3D Om mandala on the deity backplate is CNC roughed and hand-chisel finished at 12 mm depth so the mandala reads three-dimensional, not embossed. Continuous warm-white LED channels mount behind both side jalis and behind the mandala, so the cabinet has three independent backlight zones — each can be controlled separately on a 4-channel dimmer. Dust filters mount behind every jali panel; LED driver is field-replaceable from the base plinth.
Material and finish
Built entirely in DuPont-grade Corian. Joints chemically bonded and sanded flush. The Om mandala is solid-through Corian, not a print or veneer — the carving will not fade. Forty-plus sheet codes available; we most often build this design in Warm Ivory or Designer White so the jali shadows and the LED glow read with the most depth. Comparison vs marble (half the weight, kinder on apartment walls), vs wood (no warping in monsoon), vs cheap PVC-acrylic (no yellowing on the deity backplate).
Size specifications
Five standard sizes; every measurement custom-to-inch. Compact 36″ W × 24″ D × 60″ H (this is the smallest at which the peacock jali still reads). Standard 48″ W × 30″ D × 72″ H. Large 60″ W × 36″ D × 84″ H — most-ordered for villa shrines. Premium 72″ W × 42″ D × 96″ H. Temple-hall 84″ W × 48″ D × 108″ H+. Corian thickness 19 mm premium recommended on this build because the carving and jali both work better in thicker material.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Will dust collect in the peacock jali openings?
No visible dust on the deity face. A removable fine-mesh filter mounts behind each jali panel, between the jali and the LED, so dust is intercepted before it can settle inside.
Q: Are all four backlight zones controlled together?
By default each of the four zones (left jali, right jali, mandala, base) is controlled independently on a 4-channel dimmer, so different combinations can be set for daily aarti versus festival evenings.
Q: What standard side-jali patterns are available?
Peacock (default for this build), banana leaf, lotus jhaali, geometric Rajasthani, and Kerala palm. Density adjustable from 60 percent open down to 30 percent.
Q: Can I supply a custom mandala or family-deity face for the centre panel?
Yes. Send a high-resolution image; we convert to a CNC pattern and then hand-chisel the deeper passes at 12 mm depth so the mandala reads three-dimensional.
Q: Will the jali side panels stay strong over years?
Yes. Corian is solid-through, 19 mm premium thickness recommended at this build size. The jali is engineered for ornament; structural panels carry the cabinet load.
Q: Do you ship 4-channel backlit jali temples internationally?
Yes. Over 200 Corian mandirs delivered to North America. The build ships in protected crates with the 4-channel LED pre-wired to a single user-side controller; assembly takes around 4–5 hours with WhatsApp-video support.
