Om Swastik Backlit Acrylic Corian Mandir
This build pairs two of the most auspicious Hindu symbols — Om on one side, Swastik on the other — engraved into the rear sanctum panel of a solid-surface acrylic Corian mandir and lit from behind by a concealed warm-white LED curtain. The twin-symbol layout is a classical pairing: Om is the sound of creation, Swastik is the sign of well-being, and together they frame the deity in the sanctum. Both motifs are routed to 8 mm depth, hand-chamfered at the edges, and backlit with an opal-diffused halo so the symbols glow evenly. Manufactured by Satguru Creations, Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ installations delivered across India and export to USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe.
Design theme and interior fit
The Om Swastik twin-symbol layout suits: (1) traditional Indian home — Warm Ivory body with gold-leaf outlines on both symbols, the heritage choice; (2) modern apartment — Glacier White body with plain white symbols, minimalist reading; (3) Gujarati-Marwari household — cream Corian with dual-tone finish, peacock-kalash arch, especially popular for Diwali and Navratri setups; (4) commercial — corporate office or hotel prayer room — neutral satin finish, wipe-clean surfaces, auspicious symbols recognised across Indian and diaspora communities. The twin-symbol build is our most-requested non-deity layout because it stays universal across Hindu, Jain and Sikh households.
Craftsmanship — engraving twin symbols
Both Om and Swastik are hand-engraved on a 19 mm Corian rear panel, the Om on the left of the sanctum and the Swastik on the right, mirrored in proportion. The tricky parts are the Om's two closed loops and the Swastik's right-angle tips — our Mumbai artisans CNC-rough the shapes then hand-chisel the loop interiors and the right-angle tips because the router cannot fully clean them. Edges are chamfered to 30 degrees, so the halo bleeds softly rather than cutting out a hard silhouette. A single concealed LED channel runs behind both symbols, so lighting is balanced — neither symbol is brighter than the other. Depth of engraving: 8 mm on both symbols, hand-finished at the curves and right-angles.
Material and finish
Built from DuPont-grade Corian, the acrylic solid surface. Over 40 shade options. Seamless bonded joints, non-porous surface, and stable under constant LED backlighting. Acrylic Corian is the right material for a backlit twin-symbol build because it allows routed depth without cracking (unlike cheap PVC-acrylic which spider-cracks along engraved curves) and it does not yellow under LED heat (unlike cast-acrylic sheets which yellow in 18 to 24 months). Finish: satin body + high-gloss symbol panel so the Om and Swastik stand out crisply against a calm background. Dual-tone and gold-leaf options available.
Size specifications
Five standard sizes. Compact 24" W x 18" D x 40" H — 1-BHK niche with 6" Om and 6" Swastik. Standard 36" W x 24" D x 60" H — 8" symbols, the most-ordered size for apartments. Large 48" W x 30" D x 72" H — 10" symbols and deeper sanctum, fits dedicated pooja rooms. Premium 60" W x 36" D x 84" H — 14" symbols, villa feature wall. Temple-hall 72" W x 42" D x 96" H+ — built-to-site with full-arch twin-symbol panels for housing-society temples. Corian thickness 12 mm standard / 19 mm premium; rear twin-symbol panel is always 19 mm to hold the engraved depth.
Customisation
- Corian colour: Glacier White, Warm Ivory, Pearl Gray, Canvas, Designer White, or any DuPont code.
- Symbol arrangement: Om left + Swastik right (standard), Swastik on both sides with centre Om, or Om Swastik flanking a deity panel.
- Symbol style: Devanagari Om + classical Swastik (standard), South-Indian Om, or Jain Swastik with four dots.
- Pillar profile: straight, tapered, fluted, or left plain.
- Door type: open altar, sliding door, pocket door, or jali fretwork.
- Storage: drawers, cabinet for festive articles, agarbatti tray, concealed mobile / remote pocket.
- Lighting: warm-white 3000 K, dimmable, or dual-mode warm + RGB festive.
Space suitability
Apartment pooja room: standard 36" fits 9x10 and 10x12 ft rooms — the symbols read clearly at 8". Heritage Gujarati-Marwari home: premium 60" with gold-leaf Om Swastik and peacock arch — the festive-season centrepiece for Diwali Laxmi pujan. Corporate office or hotel prayer room: large 48" in neutral satin finish — auspicious, non-denominational within Hinduism, reads well in commercial lobbies. Compact 1-BHK: 24" size with 6" symbols works above a kitchen countertop. Export USA or UK condo: standard 36" ships flat; Om Swastik is a non-deity layout, so it avoids shipping restrictions some export clients run into with deity idols.

- Quote — fixed all-in: Corian + symbol engraving + LED halo + delivery and install.
- Manufacture — CNC + hand-engraving + LED fitting at our Mumbai factory. Lead time 10 to 16 working days.

- Despatch — fully crated with corner pads. Pan-India 3 to 7 days; export 14 to 25 days sea or 5 to 8 days air.
- Install — white-glove install across India; bilingual assembly guide and remote WhatsApp-video support for exports.
Why Satguru Creations
Since 1975 we have manufactured over 10,000 Corian mandirs from our Mumbai factory. We are a factory, not a trader — sheet, CNC, carving, polishing and LED fitting are all under one roof. Our 4.8/5 average from 291 verified reviews is on the shop in real time. We use only DuPont-grade Corian; we do not substitute cheaper PVC-acrylic that yellows under LED. Every build carries a lifetime consultation guarantee. Delivered to 28 Indian states, 18 US states, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe. Three generations of the founding family run the factory and walk the production floor daily.
Expertise — Vastu-aligned twin-symbol proportion
Our Vastu-trained in-house architects proportion Om and Swastik to the sanctum width at a 1:4 ratio, and always mirror-balance them so neither symbol dominates. CNC programming is done in-house. Hand-finishing of the Om loops and Swastik right-angles is handled by two of our senior artisans. LED halo circuits are vetted by a licensed electrician. Six senior carvers with 15 to 30 years on Corian alone — no deity or symbol is subcontracted.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Are Om and Swastik on the same panel or different panels?
Same panel. Both symbols are engraved into a single 19 mm Corian rear sanctum panel with a shared LED channel behind, so the halo is perfectly balanced across both motifs.
Q: Can the Swastik be replaced with a different symbol?
Yes. Common swaps include Om paired with Kalash, Om with Trishul, or Om with a Jain Swastik. Send us the motif preference and we will mock it in the 3D render.
Q: Does the acrylic Corian feel different from marble mandirs?
Yes, intentionally. Acrylic Corian is solid surface — warmer to touch than marble, seamless at joints, lighter at the same size, and it allows clean relief engraving that marble cracks under.
Q: Will the symbols stay crisp after years of daily aarti?
Yes. The engraved edges are chamfered and polished; kumkum, haldi and ghee residue wipe off with a damp cloth without dulling the symbol edges. Corian is non-porous.
Q: Which size is best for a 9x10 ft apartment pooja room?
The standard 36" W x 24" D x 60" H with 8" Om and 8" Swastik is our most-ordered for that room size. Both symbols read clearly from across the room.
Q: Can I add drawers and a hidden remote pocket?
Yes. Most of our apartment orders include integrated pooja-saman drawers and a concealed pocket for LED remote, phone or agarbatti pack. This adds no lead time.
