This wall-mount Corian mandir with a pocket door solves the problem every hinged door creates: swing-clearance. A traditional hinged door needs at least 18 inches of open arc in front of the mandir to clear fully. A pocket door slides straight into an internal cavity inside the mandir body and disappears, leaving the altar open with zero swing in the room. Closed, the door protects the deity and reads as a clean Corian panel; open, it's invisible. The piece hangs on our concealed steel cleat load-tested to 50 kg and clears the floor entirely. Pocket-door craftsmanship

The defining detail here is the slide mechanism. The door rides on a ball-bearing sliding track concealed inside the top rail of the mandir, rated for 25,000 cycles. A wool-felt brush seal on the inner edge of the door pocket keeps dust out of the cavity. The door itself is a single CNC-routed Corian panel — hand-carved if motif is selected, then hand-polished to match the mandir body. Because a pocket door needs a hollow side cavity inside the mandir, we engineer the wall-cleat to carry the slight asymmetric load — a twin-cleat system with the heavier cleat on the pocket-cavity side. Every door is tested through 100 full open-close cycles before despatch to confirm alignment and silent operation. The track is field-accessible for cleaning, and the door can be lifted off the track in under a minute for service.

Material

DuPont-grade Corian only. The door face and mandir body are hand-polished to the same sheen so that when closed, the door reads as part of the body without a break. Forty-plus sheet colours available; finishes in high-gloss, satin-matte or dual-tone. Corian is lighter than marble, will not warp, and stays dimensionally stable so the pocket-door tolerances remain accurate for decades.
