White Acrylic Mandir for Home
A white acrylic mandir for home does one quiet thing — it sits against a wall and lets the deity be the brightest point in the room. This build leans on that idea. A calm glacier-white cast-acrylic face, a minimum of visible hardware, and warm under-canopy lighting that mimics a ghee-diya glow without the heat or smoke. It is the unit we recommend most for contemporary flats where the pooja space shares a wall with the living room and needs to look finished from a sofa view. Hand-built in our Mumbai workshop by Satguru Creations — Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ installations delivered in India and abroad.
Design theme and style fit
This white acrylic piece settles into four interior styles particularly well: (1) modern apartment — flat glacier-white face, concealed edge LED, no visible handles; (2) minimalist studio or 1-BHK — a clean wall-mount variant that floats above a low console; (3) designer Indian contemporary home — warm ivory face with a single carved motif on the top canopy (kalash, om, or swastik); (4) Gujarati-Marwari house in a new build — dual-tone ivory and gold-tint acrylic with carved side pillars for a traditional cue on a contemporary silhouette. White is the most-ordered colour for Indian apartments precisely because it reads as sacred across every interior palette.
Craft notes — why this unit looks expensive
What separates a premium white acrylic mandir from a throwaway one is what you do not see. On this piece the front face is milled from a single cast-acrylic panel rather than joined strips, so there are no visible seams across the deity backdrop. The joint between the canopy and the body is hand-polished to a flush finish. Hardware is concealed — doors run on push-to-open soft-close hinges so the face stays uninterrupted; drawers on ball-bearing runners stay level over years of opening. The warm-white LED behind the canopy sits in an aluminium channel recessed 3 mm into the underside, visible only as a halo when lit. Every cut edge is hand-deburred; every corner radiused.
Material and finish
Visible faces are UV-stable high-grade cast acrylic graded explicitly for non-yellowing — critical for a white piece, because yellowing shows most on light finishes. The carcass is 18 mm BWP plywood, edge-banded in matching white acrylic so every external line reads as a single material. Against a full Corian mandir this build is about half the weight; against solid wood it will not crack or warp in Mumbai's humidity; against the PVC-acrylic sheet used in flat-pack imports (the kind that turns cream in two seasons) this acrylic holds its white gloss for years. Our Corian line uses DuPont-grade acrylic solid surface — this acrylic mandir uses the same artisan hands on a lighter, more accessible material.
Size specifications
Five standard sizes are offered and every dimension is customisable to the inch. Compact 24" W x 18" D x 36" H — for 1-BHK niches or a kitchen-top placement. Standard 36" W x 24" D x 60" H — the most-ordered size, fits a 10x12 ft pooja room. Large 48" W x 30" D x 72" H — a dedicated pooja-room wall. Premium 60" W x 36" D x 84" H — a villa feature wall. Temple-hall 72" W x 42" D x 96" H — built-to-site for large family homes or housing-society halls. Acrylic face thickness: 8 mm for doors, 12 mm for the canopy and backplate. Wall-mount variants available up to 48" W.
Customisation — what you can change
- White shade: glacier white (cool), designer white (neutral), or warm ivory (slight cream) — matched against your wall paint.
- Door style: handleless push-to-open, hinged jaali, pocket sliding, or no door for an open altar.
- Canopy: plain arch, carved kalash top, lotus-base canopy, or a flat contemporary lip.
- Storage: soft-close drawer for pooja saman, hidden agarbatti compartment, or a base cabinet for festival articles.
- Deity panel: plain ivory, a printed family-deity backplate, or mirror-finish acrylic to reflect the main idol.
- Lighting: canopy warm-white (standard), dimmable warm-white, or dual-mode warm-plus-RGB for festival colours.
- Mounting: floor-standing on a 4" plinth, or wall-mounted on a concealed steel cleat.
Space suitability
Contemporary 2-BHK apartment: the standard 36" size sits cleanly on a 10x12 ft living-cum-pooja wall. Minimalist 1-BHK or studio: the compact 24" wall-mount variant keeps the floor clear while preserving daily pooja ritual. Living-room feature wall: the large 48" or premium 60" unit with canopy LED reads as a lit installation after aarti, visible from the couch. Villa dedicated shrine: the premium 60" with carved canopy and mirror deity panel carries the weight of a formal family pooja room. Export USA / UK / Canadian condos: the acrylic-plus-plywood build ships at roughly half the crated weight of a full Corian unit, which drops sea and air freight cost meaningfully.
The process — factory to install
- Consult on WhatsApp (+91 83693 35359) — share wall photos, family deity, budget, and any size constraint.
- Design — 3D render and white-shade swatch sheet within 48 hours. Two revisions included.
- Quote — fixed all-in price: acrylic + plywood + hardware + delivery + install (pan-India) or crate + export freight.
- Manufacture — CNC-cut at our Mumbai factory, then hand-finished and assembled. Lead time 10–15 working days depending on carving complexity.
- QC — multi-point check: face seam, door alignment, drawer action, LED burn-in, finish inspection.
- Despatch — corner-padded crate. Pan-India 3–7 days; export 14–25 days sea or 5–8 days air.
- Install — white-glove install anywhere in India; flat-pack with numbered parts plus a video guide for export clients, backed by live WhatsApp video support.
Why Satguru Creations
We run our own factory floor in Mumbai — no third-party assembly, no rebadged imports. The business was founded in 1975 as Mumbai's first Corian mandir maker and carries a sibling acrylic range for families who want the same hand-finish on a lighter material. 10,000+ mandirs delivered, average rating 4.8 out of 5 from 291 verified reviews, exports to USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe. Every unit carries a lifetime consultation guarantee — if a hinge loosens, a drawer drifts, or the LED driver ever needs a swap, we handle it.
Expertise — the team behind this unit
The senior artisans who mill our Corian solid-surface mandirs mill this acrylic range too — we do not run a separate cheap line. Design is led by in-house Vastu-trained architects; CNC programming is done by our own production engineer; hand-finishing is done by carvers with 15 to 30 years of experience on Corian and acrylic. The LED circuit is vetted by a licensed electrician before every despatch. Three generations of one family, one factory, one finish standard across both material lines.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Is acrylic different from Corian?
Yes. Corian is DuPont-grade solid surface — thicker, seamless, heavier. This white acrylic mandir is high-grade cast acrylic on a sealed plywood core — lighter, lower cost, still a premium finish. Same artisan team, different material.
Q: Will the white acrylic yellow over time?
No. We use UV-stable cast acrylic graded specifically so white faces hold colour. The cream-yellowing problem belongs to pressed PVC-acrylic flat-packs, not to cast acrylic of this grade.
Q: Which white shade should I pick for my wall?
Match the wall — glacier white for cool-toned walls, designer white for neutral greys, warm ivory for cream or taupe paints. We courier a swatch on request before manufacture.
Q: How easy is it to keep a white mandir clean?
Very. The sealed cast-acrylic face wipes clean with a damp microfibre. No porous joints to trap diya soot, no wood grain to absorb oil marks. Avoid scouring pads — soft cloth only.
Q: Can the mandir be wall-mounted to save floor space?
Yes. Up to the 48" size, we ship with a concealed steel cleat that mounts into studs or masonry. The unit floats roughly 6 inches clear of the wall so the LED halo reads cleanly.
Q: Do you deliver outside India?
Yes. We export to USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe with full documentation, crated flat-pack, numbered parts and live WhatsApp video support during install.
