Corian Mandir with Swastik Pillars and Ganesha-Peacock Backdrop
This is one of our most personal builds — pillars hand-engraved with the swastik symbol on each forward face, and a backdrop panel sculpted with Ganesha and twin peacocks in 3D relief. The motif language reads as auspicious and protective, exactly what families ask for in a forever pooja room. Pillar engraving sits at 6–8 mm depth; the backdrop relief reaches up to 15 mm, hand-finished panel by panel after CNC routing. Made by Satguru Creations, Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ deliveries across India and export to USA, UK, Canada and Australia.
Design theme and interior fit
The Ganesha-peacock backdrop suits four interior styles particularly well: (1) heritage Marwari and Rajput homes — pearl-ivory Corian, dual-tone gold inlay along the peacock feathers; (2) contemporary Indian apartments — soft white Corian, plain pillar bases with engraved swastik upper third, single-tone backdrop; (3) designer villa pooja rooms — warm ivory Corian, full peacock feather detail, optional gold-leaf swastik; (4) traditional Maharashtrian and Gujarati homes — antique-cream Corian, deeper relief, bronze inlay highlights. The motif set is rooted in Vastu and family tradition; the Corian palette is what modernises it.
Hand-engraving on pillars and backdrop relief
The pillars carry a hand-engraved swastik on each forward face, executed at 6–8 mm depth with a fine-V chisel after the pillar is shaped. We do not apply stickers, transfers or routed shortcuts — every swastik is cut by hand, which is why the strokes carry the slight thickness variation of a true engraving. The backdrop panel is a separate Corian sheet routed for Ganesha and peacock outlines; senior artisans then deepen the relief in stages from 8 mm to 15 mm, polish each curve with three grits of pad, and bond the panel seamlessly to the body. Pillar profile variants: square fluted (default), tapered square, round with capital, or plain round. Custom motifs are welcomed — lotus, om, family deity panels, even bilingual mantras.
Material truth and finish
Authentic DuPont-grade Corian only. The acrylic solid surface used in luxury kitchens and hospitals — homogeneous through its thickness, so when an artisan deepens a peacock-feather relief by hand, the colour is the same all the way down. Over 40 Corian colour codes available — Glacier White, Pearl Ivory, Antique Cream, Designer White, plus an antique-marble range. Compared with marble, half the weight and no chipping at engraved edges; compared with wood, no warping under monsoon humidity; compared with cheap PVC-acrylic, no yellowing in five years. Available finish: satin matte, high gloss, or dual-tone (gloss backdrop, matte pillars).
Size specifications
Five standard footprints, customisable to the inch. Compact 24" W × 18" D × 36" H. Standard 36" W × 24" D × 60" H — most-ordered. Large 48" W × 30" D × 72" H — dedicated pooja-room wall. Premium 60" W × 36" D × 84" H — villa feature wall, full peacock detail. Temple-hall 72" W × 42" D × 96" H+ — society and commercial. Pillar height 24–60″; backdrop panel scales with overall width. Corian thickness 12 mm standard, 19 mm premium where the relief depth needs the extra body. Wall-mount variant up to 48″ W with reduced-depth backdrop.

Where this mandir suits
Family heirloom pooja room: large or premium size with full Ganesha-peacock relief and Vastu-aligned 36″ deep platform — most-ordered for the dedicated room. Apartment pooja corner: standard 36″ with simplified peacock outline, single-tone Corian — anchors a 10×12 ft room cleanly. Heritage Marwari haveli pooja: dual-tone gold inlay along peacock feathers, antique-cream Corian, hand-engraved swastik pillars. Society and corporate prayer halls: temple-hall size with reinforced sub-frame and wipe-clean panels. Compact 1-BHK: 24″ size with single peacock outline preserves the motif language without crowding.
The factory process

- Design — 3D render with peacock detail and Corian swatch within 48 hours; two revisions included.

- Manufacture — CNC routing then hand-engraving and relief carving at our Mumbai factory. Lead time 14–20 working days because of the Ganesha-peacock relief depth.

- Install — white-glove install across India; numbered-part export pack with English-Hindi-Gujarati video guide and WhatsApp-video remote support.
Why Satguru Creations
We are the factory — not a reseller. Founded in 1975, Satguru Creations was Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer and is still the longest-running on the material. Over 10,000 Corian mandirs delivered, customer feedback at 4.8 out of 5 from 291 verified reviews. Our artisans share 200+ years of carving experience between them. Every unit uses authentic DuPont-grade Corian — never the cheap PVC-acrylic that yellows. A lifetime consultation guarantee covers fit and polish; LED drivers are field-replaceable. We have shipped to 18 US states, Canada, UK, Australia, the Gulf and 28 Indian states.
Expertise behind the engraving
The factory runs under the founding family — three generations on Corian carving. Design is led by in-house architects trained in Vastu-compliant proportion, so swastik orientation and peacock placement match family-deity convention. CNC programming is in-house; the swastik engraving and peacock relief are finished by six senior artisans, each with 15–30 years on Corian. Optional LED circuits are vetted by a licensed electrician before despatch. Nothing is outsourced.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Are the swastik symbols truly hand-engraved or routed by machine?
Hand-engraved at 6 to 8 mm depth with a fine V chisel after CNC pillar shaping. Each swastik carries the slight stroke variation of a true engraving rather than perfect routed identity.
Q: How deep is the Ganesha and peacock relief on the backdrop?
Up to 15 mm, finished in stages from 8 mm to full depth by senior artisans. The backdrop is a single Corian panel, then bonded seamlessly to the unit.
Q: Can I have a different deity instead of Ganesha and peacocks?
Yes. Lakshmi, Krishna, Saraswati, family deity or bilingual mantra panels are all possible. Send a reference image on WhatsApp and we render before manufacture.
Q: How long does this carved unit take to manufacture?
14 to 20 working days at our Mumbai factory because of the relief depth. Premium and temple-hall sizes lean to 20 days.
Q: Will the engraved swastiks blur or fade over time?
No. Corian is homogeneous solid surface, so the engraving carries the same colour through its full depth. There is no surface print or coating to fade.
Q: Do you export this Ganesha-peacock unit?
Yes. We have shipped many to USA, UK, Canada and Australia. The export pack ships flat with numbered parts, peacock relief protected by foam, plus video guide and WhatsApp video support.
