Backlit Shree Krishna Balgopal 3D Corian Temple

This temple is built around Shree Krishna Balgopal — the child-form of Lord Krishna — with a backlit sanctum panel, round fluted pillars framing the deity, and golden inlay detail at the arch crown. Behind the idol, a concealed warm-white LED curtain lights the sanctum so the little Balgopal appears as if sunlit from behind. The round pillars on either side carry their own LED channel, giving the temple three separate halos — two pillars and one sanctum — that can be switched together or independently. Manufactured by Satguru Creations, Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with over 10,000 installations delivered across India and export to USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe.

Design theme and interior fit

This Krishna Balgopal build suits: (1) contemporary Indian home — Warm Ivory Corian with round pillars, gold-inlay arch, the most-ordered style; (2) modern apartment — Glacier White body, shallow-carved arch, single sanctum halo for calm daily aarti; (3) designer villa shrine — pearl-white body with dimmable three-zone halo, full carved arch with peacock motif in reference to Krishna's mor-pankh; (4) heritage bungalow — cream Corian with gold-leaf on the idol throne and pillar capitals. Krishna Balgopal is a popular choice for families with young children — the idol form is child-Krishna, and the sanctum is kept at eye-level so children participate in aarti.

Craftsmanship — round pillars and the Balgopal sanctum

The three signature elements here are the round fluted pillars, the gold-inlay arch crown, and the Balgopal throne with backlit halo. Round Corian pillars are harder than square — each pillar is CNC-turned, then hand-polished on all sides because micro-grit pads must follow the curve continuously. The golden inlay is a gold-leaf application on hand-chiselled arch routing, not printed; our team applies and burnishes the leaf in our Mumbai factory. The sanctum has a raised throne cut into the floor Corian with polished edges so the Balgopal idol sits level, and a concealed LED curtain behind the throne gives the darshan halo. Every pillar base carries a captive threaded insert so the temple can be disassembled for relocation without drilling.

Material and finish

Built from DuPont-grade Corian. 40+ shade options; Warm Ivory is the most-ordered for Krishna builds because it reads as the traditional cream-gold of village-temple interiors. Seamless bonded joints, non-porous surface, and stable under constant LED heat. Finish: satin body + high-gloss round pillars + gold-leaf inlay on arch. The gold-leaf is treated with a protective clear-coat so it will not tarnish under aarti smoke.

Size specifications

Five standard sizes. Compact 26" W x 20" D x 42" H — apartment niche with 8" Balgopal idol throne. Standard 38" W x 26" D x 64" H — the most-ordered size for Krishna bhaktas in 2 or 3-BHK homes. Large 50" W x 32" D x 76" H — 14" idol throne, dedicated pooja room. Premium 62" W x 38" D x 88" H — villa feature wall with gold-leaf pillar capitals and multi-zone lighting. Temple-hall 74" W x 44" D x 100" H+ — built-to-site for community Krishna temples. Corian thickness 12 mm standard / 19 mm premium. Round pillars come in 3", 4" and 6" diameter depending on size tier.

Customisation

  • Corian colour: Warm Ivory, Glacier White, Pearl Gray, Canvas, or any DuPont code.
  • Pillar profile: round fluted (standard), round plain, tapered round, or square-round combination.
  • Arch inlay: gold-leaf (standard), silver-leaf, plain Corian, or hand-painted motif.
  • Throne style: flat Balgopal throne, raised palanquin (jhoola) for child-Krishna swing, or twin throne for Radha-Krishna addition.
  • Door type: open altar, jali fretwork, sliding door, or pocket door.
  • Storage: drawers, cabinet for festive articles, hidden agarbatti tray.
  • Lighting: three-zone (pillars + sanctum) warm-white 3000 K, dimmable, or dual-mode warm + RGB festival.

Space suitability

Family home with young children: standard 38" size with eye-level Balgopal throne — children can offer maakhan-mishri and do aarti themselves. Villa shrine: premium 62" with jhoola throne and gold-leaf pillars — the Krishna-bhakta's feature build. Apartment pooja room: standard 38" reads proportionally in 9x10 and 10x12 ft rooms. Export USA or UK home: large 50" ships in two crates and reassembles in four hours. Janmashtami-focused community temple: temple-hall size with jhoola and multi-zone festival RGB for Janmashtami night aarti.

Why Satguru Creations

Founded in 1975, Satguru Creations is Mumbai's oldest Corian mandir manufacturer with 10,000+ installations delivered and a 4.8/5 average from 291 verified reviews. We are a factory, not a reseller — round pillar turning and gold-leaf inlay are done in-house by our senior team. DuPont-grade Corian only; we do not substitute PVC-acrylic. Every mandir is backed by a lifetime consultation guarantee. We have delivered Krishna Balgopal mandirs to 18 US states, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe and across 28 Indian states.

Expertise — Krishna mandirs as a house specialty

Krishna builds are roughly 18 percent of our production volume. Our Vastu-trained architects proportion the Balgopal throne to idol size using a classical 1:2 ratio (throne width to sanctum width). CNC programming is done in-house. Round pillars are turned and polished by two senior artisans with 25 and 29 years of Corian experience. Gold-leaf inlay is applied by a master burnisher with 22 years on Corian. LED halo circuits are vetted by a licensed electrician. The founding family personally signs off on every Krishna build.

Order this temple

Frequently asked questions

Q: Can I request a Radha-Krishna throne instead of Balgopal?
Yes. The throne is cut to your idol dimensions — single Balgopal (standard), Radha-Krishna pair, or Krishna with Rukmini-Satyabhama. Send idol heights and base widths and we will match the throne exactly.

Q: How are the round pillars different from square ones?
Round pillars are CNC-turned and hand-polished on every axis; they catch the backlight more evenly because there are no flat faces. Round fluted is the Krishna-build favourite because the flutes reference classical temple gopurams.

Q: Will the gold inlay tarnish with aarti smoke?
No. The gold-leaf is sealed with a clear protective coat that is wipe-clean and resists ghee-lamp smoke, kumkum and haldi. In 10+ years of Krishna builds we have not had a tarnishing warranty claim.

Q: Can I add a Krishna jhoola throne for Janmashtami?
Yes. We build a miniature Corian jhoola (swing) as a sanctum option for Krishna Balgopal; the jhoola hangs from concealed hooks in the sanctum ceiling and swings gently for Janmashtami.

Q: Which size is best for a 10x12 ft apartment pooja room?
The standard 38" W x 26" D x 64" H with round pillars and single-zone sanctum halo is our most-ordered for that room size — Balgopal reads at eye level without crowding the wall.

Q: Do you ship to UK and Australia?
Yes. We have delivered 150+ Krishna mandirs to UK and 40+ to Australia. Full export documentation, 14 to 25 days sea freight or 5 to 8 days air freight.
