Acrylic Mandir with Storage 6ft x 2ft
The 6-foot acrylic mandir with storage is the layout that wins when a family already has an existing 6 ft pooja-room wall and wants the entire wall absorbed by a single, well-engineered piece — not a small mandir centred awkwardly with empty space on either side. At 6 ft wide and 2 ft deep, this build carries an acrylic-glossy Corian altar above three soft-close drawers and a double-door cabinet, giving real storage capacity for a multi-festival year (Diwali, Navratri, Janmashtami, Holi, family-deity occasions) without a separate cupboard. Built in our Mumbai factory by Satguru Creations — in continuous Corian-mandir production since 1975, with 10,000+ units delivered across India and exports to four continents.
Design theme — the four interiors it suits
This is a wall-scale piece, so it earns its presence in larger interiors: (1) contemporary Indian 3-BHK — pearl-white acrylic body, central deity panel, three drawers across the front, double cabinet flanking; (2) designer villa pooja room — warm-ivory body, fluted pillar inserts at the corners, full-width seated platform; (3) modern apartment with feature wall — dual-tone gloss white and pearl-gray, recessed handle line, deep cabinet for festival decor; (4) commercial / housing-society temple — matte-white wipe-clean body, lockable cabinet, GST invoice supplied. We dial the formality up or down by choosing between flat-front cabinet doors and pillared corner inserts.
Craftsmanship — large-format storage that doesn't sag
A 6 ft mandir's failure point is the platform sag in the middle of the cabinet row over time. Our build prevents it three ways: (a) the platform is 19 mm reinforced Corian with an internal steel cross-member, not a single 12 mm sheet; (b) every drawer rides on full-extension ball-bearing soft-close runners rated for 30 kg loaded, so the runner doesn't sag and pull on the platform; (c) cabinet doors close on concealed magnetic catches with a continuous dust-resistant gasket sealing the door edge. Drawer interiors are lined with a scratch-resistant matte panel and the cabinet has an adjustable shelf that lifts out for cleaning. CNC routed and hand-polished in our Mumbai workshop.
Material & finish
The visible body is DuPont-grade acrylic solid-surface Corian, joined with chemical seam-welding so the 6 ft span reads as one continuous panel rather than as two 3-ft sheets stitched together. Non-porous; will not yellow, will not host bacteria. Forty-plus DuPont colour codes available, with high-gloss, satin or matte finish. Versus marble at this size: roughly one-fifth the weight, no etching from kumkum or oil spill on the platform. Versus a wooden mandir: zero warp risk on the platform top, even in monsoon humidity. Versus PVC-acrylic look-alikes: no yellowing on the visible top edge, no peel-back on the seam.
Size specifications
The listed default is 72" W × 24" D × 84" H (the 6 ft x 2 ft footprint). We also build it in five custom variants: 5-ft compact 60" W × 24" D × 78" H — two drawers + double cabinet. Listed 6-ft 72" W × 24" D × 84" H — three drawers + double cabinet (this product). 6-ft seated-aarti 72" W × 30" D × 84" H — deeper platform for floor-seated aarti. 7-ft villa 84" W × 30" D × 90" H — three drawers + triple cabinet, structural pillars optional. Hall 96" W × 36" D × 96" H+ — built-to-site for housing-society or villa shrine room. Corian thickness 12 mm standard, 19 mm premium for the platform.

Why Satguru Creations
Mumbai's longest-running Corian mandir factory, established 1975. 10,000+ delivered, 4.8/5 across 291 verified reviews. Large-format builds (6 ft and above) are where most resellers fail because they can't span solid-surface across that distance without seam visibility — we can. Authentic DuPont-grade Corian, hardware specified to architectural grade. Every order carries a lifetime consultation guarantee. Pan-India white-glove install; export to four continents with full documentation.
Expertise
Three generations of the founding family. Large-format fabrication is led by our senior CNC engineer with 20+ years on Corian sheet handling. Drawer-box assembly is supervised by a senior carpenter; the platform load test (50 kg distributed across the centre span) is signed off by our QC head. Vastu-trained architects review the deity-panel proportion against the 6 ft footprint.

Frequently asked questions
Q: How many drawers does the 6 ft size carry?
The listed 72 inch size carries three soft-close drawers across the front and a double-door cabinet below. We can substitute two wider drawers if you prefer fewer pulls.
Q: Is the cabinet lockable for housing-society installations?
Yes. A discreet key cam-lock or a push-to-open child-safe latch is available. Housing-society and villa orders almost always specify the cam-lock.
Q: What can I store in three drawers and a double cabinet?
The drawers hold daily saman across the 6 ft span: matchboxes, agarbatti, kumkum, oil bottles, deity vastra, jaap mala. The double cabinet holds silver thaali, jyot stand and full festival decor sets.
Q: Are the drawer hinges actually soft-close at this width?
Yes. Each drawer rides on full-extension ball-bearing soft-close runners rated for 30 kg loaded. Cabinet doors use concealed magnetic catches. All hardware is field-replaceable.
Q: Will the 6 ft platform sag in the middle over the years?
No. The platform is 19 mm reinforced Corian with an internal steel cross-member; the platform is load-tested to 50 kg distributed across the centre span before despatch.
Q: Can a 6 ft mandir ship to the USA or UK without damage?
Yes. It ships flat-pack with foam-immobilised drawers, a numbered hardware bag and a step-by-step assembly video. Most overseas customers complete install in 4 to 5 hours with our remote WhatsApp video support.
