Large Corian Temple with Sliding Door and Backlit Jali Pillars

A grand mandir engineered around a silent silicone-damped sliding door and a pair of backlit CNC jali pillars that throw a filtered kalash pattern onto the floor at aarti time. The three-tier gopuram crown adds verticality that reads across a 14×16 ft clubhouse hall — this is a temple designed to anchor a whole room, not sit in a corner. Manufactured by Satguru Creations, Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ installations across India and export markets including USA, UK, Canada and Australia. The sliding door, the gopuram, the jali pillars — every element is CNC-cut and hand-polished under one roof at our Mumbai factory.

Design styles this piece anchors

The sliding-door and gopuram combination suits four large-context interiors: (1) designer villa shrine room — dual-tone Corian, ornate gopuram, jali pillars with brass-tone LED; (2) housing-society community pooja hall — neutral palette, lockable sliding door for unattended hours, jali ventilation for lamp smoke; (3) overseas gurudwara or ISKCON temple — taller gopuram, heritage carving, knock-down panels for container shipping; (4) corporate campus prayer hall — restrained motif, cool-white backlight, sliding door sealed by soft-close for low-maintenance use. The gopuram can be scaled from three tiers to five, and the jali pattern is hand-drawn to a kalash, peacock or om motif of your choice.

Sliding door and jali engineering

The sliding door runs on a premium ball-bearing top track with a silicone damper at both ends, so the door glides shut without a bang even when slammed. We fit magnetic catches on both ends and an optional keyed lock for institutional use. The door itself is 12 mm Corian face-bonded to a 4 mm aluminium stiffener — this is how we stop a six-foot Corian sliding panel from bowing under its own weight over time. The backlit jali pillars are cut on a 5-axis CNC with 6–12 mm through-depth, then hand-relieved on the edges to stop the LED casting hard shadow lines. Each pillar houses a concealed warm-white SMD strip in an aluminium channel. Sub-frame is reinforced galvanised steel, panels are modular for lift transport, GST invoice supplied.

Material and finish

Genuine DuPont-grade Corian acrylic solid surface — non-porous, seamless when chemically bonded, and resistant to yellowing even under daily diya smoke. We do not use PVC-acrylic substitutes that break down in 2–3 years under ghee-lamp heat. Over 40 Corian shade codes available, including the popular Glacier White, Warm Ivory, Canvas, and Pearl Gray, plus gold-leaf and hand-applied antique-brass inlay for the gopuram bands. Compared to marble gopurams, this piece weighs a fraction and can be moved on a lift. Compared to teak, it will not warp in Mumbai-coast humidity or in a high-altitude USA home.

Commercial-hall size specifications

This design is built in commercial sizes and scaled to site for larger rooms. Large 72″ W × 36″ D × 96″ H — society pooja rooms, 12×14 ft halls. Premium 84″ W × 42″ D × 108″ H — villa shrine, ashram inner sanctum. Temple-hall 96″ W × 48″ D × 120″ H — clubhouse, multi-faith chapel. XL 120″ W × 54″ D × 132″ H — overseas gurudwara main hall. Built-to-site for 12-foot-plus walls with five-tier gopuram for derasar and ISKCON projects. Corian thickness 12 mm standard, 19 mm premium. Sliding-door height up to 108 inches on the XL; beyond that we use a pocket-door split.

Customisation

  • Corian colour: 40+ DuPont shades, dual-tone, gold-leaf or antique-brass inlay for gopuram bands.
  • Jali pattern: kalash, peacock, om mandala, swastik, or custom family-deity motif on each pillar face.
  • Sliding-door type: single slide, bi-parting, or pocket slide with magnetic catch and keyed lock.

  • Deity panel: carved backplate, printed, or mirror-finish for multi-deity line-up.

Why Satguru Creations for a temple this size

This is a commercial piece and it needs a commercial maker. We run the factory — not a trading counter. Founded in 1975 as Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer, we have delivered 10,000+ units, of which more than 200 are institutional temples for societies, trusts, gurudwaras and corporate campuses. Our 4.8/5 rating from 291 verified customers is visible on the storefront. Every large order carries a lifetime consultation guarantee, proper GST invoice, export paperwork, and a sub-frame engineered by our production engineer to carry pooja-traffic loads for decades.

Expertise behind the build

Three-generation family workshop. Design led by in-house Vastu-trained architects with agama-shastra reference for gopuram proportions. Six senior Corian carvers with 15–30 years each. Licensed electrician vetting every LED loom. Production engineer signs off steel sub-frames for commercial orders. Site team coordinates with society secretaries, trust boards and overseas temple committees for delivery and install logistics.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Does the sliding door run silently even after years of use?
Yes. It runs on a premium ball-bearing track with silicone end-dampers and magnetic catches. We cycle-test every door 500 times before despatch.

Q: Can the gopuram be scaled up to five tiers for a gurudwara or derasar?
Yes. Standard is three tiers; we build four- and five-tier gopurams for ashrams, gurudwaras and ISKCON temples. Ceiling-height drawings required before cutting.

Q: Is GST invoice available for trust and society purchases?
Yes. Proper GST invoice issued to the trust, society or corporate name, with HSN coding. Export orders carry commercial invoice and HSN for customs clearance.

Q: How do the jali pillars light up without showing bulbs?
Each pillar carries a concealed warm-white SMD strip in an aluminium channel behind the CNC jali. The light washes through the fretwork as a filtered pattern; the bulbs are never visible from the front.

Q: Can this ship knock-down to a USA or Canada temple?
Yes. The temple is modular by design. We pack numbered parts in a 20-foot container and supply assembly video plus WhatsApp-video remote support on install day.

Q: How long is the lead time for a commercial order?
16 to 24 working days depending on gopuram tier count, jali complexity and size. Rush orders can compress to 12–14 days subject to schedule.
