Big Corian Mandir for Home — 5.5 ft Wide x 7 ft Tall with 3D Dome Top
This is our large-format home Corian mandir, originally built for a Powai client and now one of our signature references for villa pooja halls. The silhouette: 5.5 ft wide x 7 ft tall, deep floor-standing plinth, full 3D-carved backdrop with a central Om, large round pillars flanking the altar, and a distinctive Corian dome top (domed silhouette rather than a flat or arched crown) that lifts the whole piece into genuine-temple visual territory. Built by Satguru Creations, Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ mandirs delivered across India and export markets.
Design theme — where a 7-foot dome-top mandir belongs
This size is not an apartment piece. It suits four specific interiors: (1) villa dedicated pooja hall — ivory Corian body, gloss dome, warm-backlit pillars, carved 3D Om backdrop; (2) bungalow living-hall shrine — cream-gold Corian, dual-tone pillars, full-dome top finished in matte with a gloss Om medallion; (3) joint-family 4-BHK dedicated pooja room — warm ivory with a traditional domed crown and carved kalash finial; (4) commercial housing-society temple — reinforced construction, 19mm Corian throughout, wipe-clean finish, full GST documentation. The dome top is thermal-bonded from curved Corian sections — not a cast dome; every curve hand-polished.
Craftsmanship — pillar + dome + backdrop integration
Three craftsmanship details distinguish this flagship size. First, the large round pillars are built from thermal-bonded Corian sheet rolled to a tight cylinder, then hand-polished along the entire seam — you will not see a join line anywhere on a 7-foot pillar. Second, the 3D Om backdrop is hand-carved 10–14 mm deep into the rear Corian panel with layered relief around the Om character. Third, the dome top is built from 6–8 curved Corian segments, thermal-bonded at each segment seam, then finish-polished to an unbroken curve. Base plinth reinforced for heavy idols up to 150 kg with optional internal steel spine.
Material & finish
Every panel in DuPont-grade Corian — the acrylic solid surface used in premium kitchens and hospital surfaces. In the 5.5x7 ft format we strongly recommend 19mm Corian throughout for structural rigidity; 12mm is acceptable only on non-load decorative panels. 40+ colours stocked: ivory, cream, pearl, Glacier, Canvas, and custom-code DuPont sheets. Finish options: gloss, matte, or dual-tone with gloss dome + matte body. The Om backdrop is often finished in a gloss-gold Corian for contrast against a matte ivory surround.

Why Satguru Creations
Since 1975, Satguru has specialised in full-height Corian mandirs of this scale — most Indian workshops stop at 5-foot heights because the dome and pillar engineering beats them. We regularly ship 6–8 ft full mandirs because our thermal-bond seam technique and our senior pillar-roller's craft hold up at that scale. 10,000+ mandirs delivered, 4.8/5 from 291 verified buyers. Lifetime consultation guarantee on every unit.
Expertise
Three generations of the founder family. Large-format mandir production is led by a senior foreman with 30 years on Corian alone — every 6–8 ft unit leaves under his signature. Dome-segment assembly is done by a specialist with 15+ years on curved solid-surface bonding. Structural base-spine design is vetted by a retained civil-structural consultant. Vastu-trained in-house architect sets pillar and backdrop proportion.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Will a 7-foot mandir fit through apartment lifts and doorways?
Depends on the property. For Powai-style high-rises we flat-pack the unit; major sections enter the lift separately and we thermal-bond seams on site, leaving a seamless finish identical to factory build.
Q: How heavy is the dome and does it need wall anchoring?
The dome is 12–18 kg in 19mm Corian. It sits on the pillar tops, which bear the load; no additional wall anchoring is needed for the dome. We do recommend a wall-tie strap on the backdrop for earthquake-prone zones.
Q: Can the pillars carry integrated backlight LED?
Yes. Each round pillar has an internal aluminium heatsink channel that holds a warm-white 24 V LED strip with a concealed driver in the base plinth. Cable runs inside the pillar and exits invisibly below the plinth.
Q: What is the lead time for this size?
Typical lead time is 18–25 working days. Dome fabrication and deep 3D Om carving are the time-driving steps. Express production in 14 days is possible with a surcharge.
Q: Can I see a sample at your Mumbai workshop before commissioning?
Yes. We keep reference pieces of pillar rolls, dome segments, and backdrop carving on display at the workshop. Visit by appointment; our Mumbai customers regularly drop by before finalising the 3D render.
Q: Do you ship this size to the USA?
Yes. Over 40 large-format mandirs of this scale have shipped to US villas (NJ, TX, CA, IL). Sea freight is 18–25 days; on-site assembly guided by our senior engineer over WhatsApp video.
