White Customised Acrylic Mandir with Pocket Doors
This is the customised white pocket-door corian mandir we build for homeowners who want the cabinet to disappear into the wall when closed and to read as a quiet, light-reflecting shrine when open. Glacier White or Designer White Corian across the doors and body, twin-pocket layout, hand-bevelled meeting edges — closed, the unit looks like a fitted white wall panel; open, the shrine takes the full width without a visible door edge anywhere on the front face. Built by Satguru Creations, Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ installations delivered across India and four export continents.
Design theme — which interiors it fits
White-on-white pocket doors suit four interior contexts: (1) modern apartment with neutral palette — mandir blends into the wall; (2) scandinavian / minimalist Indian fusion — mandir as a bright corner of light; (3) designer villa with light interiors — closed cabinet reads as a curated wall panel, open as a softly-lit shrine; (4) USA / Canada / UK condominium — the white finish carries cleanly through Western interior schemes where heavy carved teak would feel out of place. Customisation is the key here: door embossing, mirror-finish backplate, drawer count and pocket side are all chosen by the homeowner.
Pocket door engineering — the white-on-white challenge
White cabinets show every alignment flaw. Our pocket build is engineered specifically for that scrutiny. Top-hung soft-close aluminium track with silent nylon rollers, twin panels factory-aligned to 0.5 mm at the centre meeting line, and a dust gasket on each pocket opening so airborne kitchen dust never settles on the hidden door face (otherwise it would discolour the white over time). Both leading edges are hand-bevelled and polished so the closed seam looks deliberate, not imperfect. We mill the cavity 4 mm wider than each panel for monsoon-humidity tolerance and dry-run every unit 200 cycles per door before despatch.
Material and finish
Built in DuPont-grade Corian, the genuine acrylic solid surface used in premium kitchens. Joints are chemically bonded and sanded flush. Corian's biggest single advantage on a white mandir: it does not yellow. Cheap PVC-acrylic sheets shift to cream within two seasons of monsoon humidity; Corian stays white for the life of the cabinet. Our most-ordered whites for this design: Glacier White (cool, near-pure), Designer White (warm soft white), and Warm Ivory (very subtle cream). Match swatches sent by post on request.

Why Satguru Creations
We are not a reseller — we are the factory. 1975 founding, 10,000+ Corian mandirs delivered, 4.8/5 from 291 verified customers. Combined 200+ years of artisan experience. White-on-white pocket designs are one of the hardest formats to build cleanly because every alignment flaw is visible — one of the reasons we hand-finish every white edge in-house and refuse to outsource. Lifetime consultation guarantee on every unit.
Expertise
Three-generation family business. In-house Vastu-trained architects design the layout. Six senior artisans, each 15–30 years on Corian, hand-finish every white edge under a daylight lamp because that is the only light that exposes shade variation. White-finish QC is supervised by our production head personally before any white unit leaves the factory.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Will the white Corian yellow over time?
No. DuPont-grade Corian is colour-stable for the life of the cabinet. The yellowing problem affects budget PVC-acrylic, not genuine Corian. We use only Corian.
Q: How does a pocket door differ from a sliding door on a white mandir?
A pocket door slides into the side cavity and disappears, leaving a clean unbroken white face when open. A sliding door stays visible on the front. On a white-on-white design, pocket doors look cleaner because there is no visible door edge.
Q: Do the doors hide fully when open on a white build?
Yes. Each pocket is 6 mm deeper than the panel, so each door fully tucks inside. The shrine reads as a single uninterrupted white niche when open.
Q: Will the twin pocket tracks jam after a few years?
No. Aluminium top-hung tracks with nylon rollers and 4 mm humidity clearance, dry-run 200 cycles before despatch. Captive screws keep alignment over time.
Q: Are the white panels removable for cleaning the cavity?
Yes. Each white panel lifts off the track tool-free after two captive screws are released. We recommend a soft-cloth wipe of both cavities annually before Diwali.
Q: Do you ship customised white pocket-door mandirs internationally?
Yes. Over 200 Corian mandirs delivered to North America. White builds are crated with extra inner cushioning to protect the finish; tracks ship pre-aligned and we remote-support install over WhatsApp video.
