Corian Mandir with 3D Carved Arc

The 3D arc is the signature of this unit. Rather than a flat header strip, this Corian mandir is crowned with a single hand-carved arc that rises 10–15 mm proud of the surface, sweeping over the deity in a continuous concave-to-convex curve. Twin Corian pillars frame the altar and a stepped Corian platform anchors the base, so the eye travels in a clean spiritual U from base to apex. The arc itself can carry kalash, gopuram or family-deity carving, hand-finished after CNC. Built by Satguru Creations — Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ pieces installed across India and export to USA, UK, Canada and Australia.

Design theme and where it fits

An arc-led mandir reads as graceful and feminine, so it lands well in four interior styles: (1) modern apartment pooja rooms — soft warm-ivory Corian, plain pillars, gentle kalash arc; (2) designer villa pooja rooms — pearl-white Corian, fluted round pillars, peacock-and-kalash arc; (3) contemporary Indian living rooms where the mandir doubles as a feature — dual-tone ivory and warm gold, mirror deity panel under the arc; (4) minimalist farmhouse interiors — matte cream Corian, plain pillars, single-line lotus arc carving. We rotate motif and finish per home; the arc geometry remains structurally identical.

Arc carving and 3D craftsmanship

The arc is built as a single Corian piece — never two halves seamed at the apex — and that is what keeps the curve unbroken. Carving depth runs 10 to 15 mm, executed by CNC and then refined by senior artisans under hand chisels. Concave shadow lines are micro-grit-sanded smooth, convex faces are buffed under polishing pads in three grits, and the arc is then bonded to the pillar tops using our invisible Corian-on-Corian joint. The result is a mandir that does not show a single seam under aarti light. Pillar variants are tapered round, square fluted, round with capital, or plain square. Optional inlay: gold leaf in the arc valleys for festive contrast.

Corian material and finish options

Authentic DuPont-grade Corian only — the same acrylic solid surface used in operating theatres and hotel kitchens. Over 40 colour codes are stocked, including Glacier White, Designer White, Warm Ivory, Pearl Gray and an antique-marble range. Corian does not yellow, does not crack, and the seamless joint means the arc, pillars and base read as one moulded piece. Compared with marble, it is half the weight and forgiving on apartment floors; compared with wood, it does not warp in monsoon humidity; compared with PVC-acrylic, it never yellows. Available finishes: satin matte, high gloss, or dual-tone (gloss arc, matte pillars).

Standard sizes (custom to the inch)

Five standard footprints: Compact 24" W × 18" D × 36" H. Standard 36" W × 24" D × 60" H — most-ordered for 10×12 ft pooja rooms. Large 48" W × 30" D × 72" H. Premium 60" W × 36" D × 84" H — villa feature wall. Temple-hall 72" W × 42" D × 96" H+ — society temple or commercial. Pillar height runs 24″ to 60″; arc span follows total unit width. Corian sheet thickness 12 mm standard, 19 mm premium for arc spans above 60″. Wall-mount variant available up to 48″ W. Total unit width 36–72″ covers most home layouts; commercial spans go further on request.

What you can change

  • Corian colour: Glacier White, Designer White, Warm Ivory, Pearl Gray or any DuPont-grade code (40+ options).
  • Arc motif: kalash, gopuram, lotus, peacock, om-and-swastik, family deity panel.
  • Pillar profile: tapered round, square fluted, round capital, or plain square.
  • Door type: open altar (default), sliding door, pocket door, or jali fretwork door.
  • Storage: integrated drawers for pooja saman, agarbatti compartment, hidden festive cabinet.
  • Finish: satin matte, high gloss, or dual-tone (gloss arc, matte pillars).
  • Lighting: optional concealed warm-white LED traced behind the arc and along pillar capitals.

Where this mandir works

Modern apartment pooja room: the standard 36″ with a soft kalash arc anchors a 10×12 ft room without crowding the doorway. Designer villa shrine: large or premium size with peacock-arc carving and 36″ platform — popular in Pune and Bengaluru villas where the pooja room overlooks a balcony. Living-room feature wall: premium 60″ with mirror deity panel under the arc — for families that want the mandir as a statement, not a side-room. Society and corporate prayer halls: temple-hall size with reinforced steel sub-frame, wipe-clean Corian and GST invoice. Compact 1-BHK: 24″ arc unit fits a hallway alcove.

Why we are the right factory

Satguru Creations was Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer in 1975 and is still the longest-running. Over 10,000 Corian mandirs have shipped from our workshop. Customer feedback sits at 4.8 out of 5 from 291 verified reviews. Our artisans share a combined 200+ years of carving experience and every unit uses authentic DuPont-grade Corian — never the cheap PVC-acrylic that yellows in two years. A lifetime consultation guarantee covers fit, polish and component issues. We have delivered to 18 US states, Canada, UK, Australia and the Gulf, plus 28 Indian states. The factory voice on every order is the same family that started in 1975.

The team that carves the arc

Three generations of the founding family run the factory. Design is led by in-house architects trained in Vastu-compliant proportion — the arc rise-to-pillar ratio sits inside traditional guidance. CNC programming is done by our own production engineer; arc carving is finished by six senior artisans, each with 15–30 years on Corian specifically. Optional LED circuits are checked by a licensed electrician before despatch. No part of the build leaves the factory.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How deep is the 3D carving on the arc?
Standard depth runs 10 to 15 mm, routed on our CNC and then refined by hand chisel so the concave shadow lines are smooth and the convex face is silk-polished.

Q: Which pillar styles pair best with the 3D arc?
The default is tapered round, but square fluted, round with capital, and plain square all work. Tapered round reads softest under the arc curve.

Q: Can I have a custom motif carved into the arc?
Yes. The arc is a single Corian piece carved to any motif. Most-requested are kalash, gopuram, peacock, lotus and family deity panels. Send a reference and we render before manufacture.

Q: How long does hand-carving an arc take?
The full unit takes 12 to 18 working days at our Mumbai factory. Larger spans above 60 inch lean to 18 days because the arc carving is heavier.

Q: Will the carved arc edges chip during use or shipping?
No. Corian is a homogeneous solid surface, so chipping is almost impossible from normal handling. Crates are corner-padded and any factory edge is repolishable on site.

Q: Do you ship this arc design overseas?
Yes. We have shipped 200+ units to USA, UK, Canada and Australia. Export pack ships flat with numbered parts, English-Hindi-Gujarati video and WhatsApp-video remote support.
