Corian Mandir with Doors and Ganesha Side Jhaali
This is the Corian mandir for families who want both privacy and devotional artistry on the same piece: a full-front hinged Corian door set that closes the altar during guest hours, and on each flanking side a CNC-cut Ganesha jhaali (jali fretwork) panel that reveals the altar glow through Lord Ganesha's traced silhouette and ornamental lattice. Close the doors during a party; the side jhaalis still let a soft glow of the pooja lamp escape into the room. Manufactured by Satguru Creations, Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ installations delivered.
Design theme — interiors that suit the jhaali look
Four interior styles pair beautifully with Ganesha side-jhaali doors: (1) Marwari-Gujarati traditional home — warm cream-ivory Corian, fine lattice jhaali, brass knob on the doors; (2) contemporary Indian 3-BHK — pearl-white Corian, a more geometric Ganesha outline with minimalist jhaali; (3) heritage bungalow — ivory Corian with dual-tone gloss doors plus intricate floral-border jhaali; (4) NRI family home overseas — Glacier White Corian, modern simplified Ganesha outline jhaali, closed-door silhouette that reads as a cabinet to non-Indian guests. The jhaali is pierced all the way through the 12mm Corian, not surface-etched; the light actually passes through.
Craftsmanship — door + jhaali combined engineering
The production of this piece is genuinely demanding, which is why few factories offer it. Three craftsmanship details set our version apart: (a) the Ganesha jhaali is CNC-cut then hand-finished on every single internal edge — a rough cut leaves micro-burrs that catch dust; we hand-file every Ganesha silhouette and lattice edge smooth, inside and out; (b) the door hinges and jhaali panel are structurally decoupled via a 19mm Corian spine between them, so opening the doors hundreds of times does not stress or crack the pierced jhaali; (c) every joint thermally bonded and hand-polished — the jhaali-to-body join is invisible. Doors run on premium concealed hinges rated 80,000 cycles.
Material & finish
Built from DuPont-grade Corian — the acrylic solid surface standard across premium kitchens. Non-porous (no dust penetration into the jhaali cuts), doesn't warp (critical for pierced fretwork where warping would close the lattice gaps), doesn't yellow (critical for cream-ivory finishes). 40+ Corian colours stocked; cream-ivory and warm pearl are the popular choices for the jhaali archetype because the light passing through reads warmest against those tones. Finish: gloss, matte, or gloss-doors-matte-jhaali dual-tone.
Size specifications
Five standard sizes, all customisable. Compact 36" W × 22" D × 60" H — suits a 10×10 ft pooja room. Standard 48" W × 26" D × 72" H — the most-ordered size for this archetype; gives enough side-panel width for a detailed Ganesha outline. Large 60" W × 30" D × 80" H — dedicated pooja hall. Premium 72" W × 36" D × 90" H — villa feature wall. Temple-hall 84"+ — community shrine. Corian thickness: 12mm standard for the jhaali (optimum for CNC fretwork strength vs. light throughput), 19mm on structural body and doors.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Is the Ganesha jhaali CNC-cut or hand-cut?
CNC rough-cut for precision, then every internal edge is hand-filed and hand-polished by our senior artisans. This combination delivers clean geometry and smooth, safe edges on every lattice opening.
Q: Does dust get stuck inside the jhaali cut-outs?
No more than on a wooden jali. Corian is non-porous, so dust wipes off with a soft damp cloth without embedding in the surface. A monthly wipe keeps the jhaali looking freshly made.
Q: Can I swap the Ganesha silhouette for a different deity?
Yes. We regularly cut Laxmi, Krishna, Sai, Om, and custom family-deity silhouettes into the jhaali. Share a reference image with us and we will redraw it into a CNC-cuttable pattern.
Q: Does the pierced jhaali weaken the mandir structurally?
No. The jhaali panel is decoupled from the load path by a 19mm Corian spine between it and the door frame. Jhaali bears no structural load — it is a decorative filter panel only.
Q: Will the jhaali crack in transit to the USA or UK?
No. Export crates include a full internal foam overlay sandwiching the jhaali plus corner pads on the outer crate. We have shipped jhaali mandirs to USA, UK, Canada, Australia without a single in-transit crack to date.
Q: Can the jhaali be backlit from inside?
Yes. Optional warm-white LED strip on the inside of the altar amplifies the silhouette of the deity jhaali against the room. We recommend the upgrade — it is the signature festive-mode look of this design.
