3-Step Backlit Dome Corian Mandir with LED Halo
The defining detail on this piece is the tiered 3-step dome — three concentric ring platforms rising from the sanctum crown, each ring carrying its own concealed warm-white LED channel. When lit, the dome glows in three soft rings that step upward like a shikhara, giving the mandir a vertical presence that flat-arch designs cannot match. The dome is hand-routed, edge-chamfered, and fitted over a structural Corian shell so the lighting stays silent, cool and flicker-free. Manufactured by Satguru Creations — Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, with 10,000+ installations delivered across India and export to USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe.
Design theme and interior fit
The 3-step dome suits four interior directions: (1) contemporary Indian — ivory Corian body with a gold-leaf dome ring and straight pillars, reading as modern-traditional; (2) designer villa pooja room — pearl-white Corian, dimmable warm-white dome, dual-tone matte-gloss finish; (3) modern apartment — Glacier White body, stepped dome kept plain, LED on low warmth for small spaces; (4) heritage or Gujarati-Marwari home — the stepped dome paired with kalash finials, peacock motif on the arch and a carved pedestal. The dome geometry anchors the piece whichever style you choose — it is the first thing the eye climbs toward.
Craftsmanship — the tiered dome build
Each of the three dome rings is cut, seamed and polished as a separate Corian element, then thermoformed and bonded into a single continuous curve with seam-lines sanded to invisible. Our Mumbai artisans hand-finish the inner ring shadow-gap so the LED halo reads as a clean ring, not a bright edge. The dome crown accepts an optional kalash finial carved from the same Corian sheet for colour match. Every joint is stress-tested before despatch — because a tiered dome that flexes in transit ruins the halo. The rest of the body is CNC-cut and hand-polished: pillar chamfers, deity-panel alcoves, and base platform are all finished by our senior team of Corian carvers.
Material and finish
We build this mandir from DuPont-grade Corian (acrylic solid surface), in a choice of 40+ colour codes — Glacier White, Designer White, Warm Ivory, Pearl Gray, Canvas, Sandstone, and darker temple tones on request. Seams are bonded, not screwed, so the mandir reads as a single carved block. Unlike marble, Corian does not crack and does not stain from haldi or kumkum. Unlike wood, it does not warp in Mumbai humidity or USA winter heating. Unlike cheap PVC-acrylic, it does not yellow under LED heat — the dome can stay lit all night and still look factory-fresh in year ten.
Size specifications
Five standard sizes, every dimension customisable to the inch. Compact 24" W x 18" D x 40" H — apartment niche, dome kept shallow. Standard 36" W x 24" D x 64" H — the most-ordered size for 2-BHK and 3-BHK pooja rooms; the dome reads proportionally best at this height. Large 48" W x 30" D x 76" H — dedicated pooja-room wall. Premium 60" W x 36" D x 88" H — villa feature wall with deeper dome step. Temple-hall 72" W x 42" D x 100" H+ — built to site for housing-society temples. Corian thickness: 12 mm standard, 19 mm premium. Wall-mount variant available up to 48" W.

Why Satguru Creations
We are the factory, not a reseller. Founded in 1975, we were the first Corian mandir manufacturer in Mumbai and remain the longest-running. A 50-year legacy, 10,000+ mandirs delivered, and a 4.8/5 verified review average. Our team has a combined 200+ years of Corian carving experience. Every piece uses authentic DuPont-grade Corian — not the cheap PVC-acrylic that yellows under LED heat in 18 months. Every mandir is backed by a lifetime consultation guarantee: if a seam shifts, the driver fails or a panel cracks in transit, we fix it. Delivered across 28 Indian states and 18 US states, with repeat exports to UK, Canada, Australia and Europe.
Expertise — the team behind this dome
Design is led by our in-house architects, who are Vastu-trained and hold the dome proportion to traditional shikhara ratios. CNC programming is in-house. Hand-carving and thermoforming are done by six senior artisans, each 15 to 30 years on Corian alone — the dome is too precise to sub-contract. Every LED circuit is vetted by a licensed electrician before the mandir leaves the crate. Three generations of the founding family still walk the factory floor; quality control is not delegated.

Frequently asked questions
Q: How is the 3-step dome lit?
Each ring of the dome carries its own concealed warm-white LED channel recessed 3 mm into the rear of the ring. Seen from below, the dome glows in three soft halos stepping upward.
Q: Can the dome be simplified to a single step?
Yes. Standard is 3-step. We also offer a shallow single dome or a 5-step tiered dome on request — all priced into the same fixed quote.
Q: How long does the LED last?
Rated 50,000 hours at 4 hours per day that is 34 years. The driver is field-replaceable without dismantling the dome or body.
Q: Does Corian yellow under constant backlighting?
DuPont-grade Corian is UV-stable and does not yellow. Cheap PVC-acrylic does yellow under LED heat within 18 to 24 months — we do not use it.
Q: Which size suits a 10x12 ft pooja room?
The standard 36" W x 24" D x 64" H size is the most ordered for that room. The stepped dome reads proportionally best at this height.
Q: Can this ship to USA or UK?
Yes. Over 200 mandirs delivered to USA and UK. The dome ships pre-assembled and crated; body panels ship flat with numbered parts and a video guide.
