This backlit pillar design sits cleanly in four interior styles: (1) modern apartment — straight pillars, matte white Corian, minimal motif on the arch; (2) contemporary Indian — straight pillars, carved kalash finials, pearl-white Corian with gold leaf inlay option; (3) designer villa pooja room — tapered round pillars, 3D carved lotus base, warm ivory Corian with concealed RGB dimmable LED; (4) heritage / Gujarati-Marwari home — fluted square pillars, peacock & kalash motif across the arch, dual-tone finish. The LED channel sits behind the pillar on a 3mm recess, invisible from the front, visible only as a soft halo framing each column.

Pillar intricacy — the craftsmanship that separates us

Every pillar on this mandir is hand-finished after CNC routing. Our in-house carvers at the Mumbai factory do three things no mass producer does: (a) they chamfer the pillar edges by hand so the LED halo doesn't cast a hard shadow line; (b) they polish every concave curve with micro-grit pads — Corian's joint is seamless only if the curve is seamless; (c) they fit each pillar base with a captive threaded insert so the mandir can be disassembled by the homeowner for relocation without drilling. Motifs available on the pillar face: plain fluting, lotus carving, om embossing, swastik, kalash, peacock, or a custom family-deity panel supplied by you. Depth of carving: 6–12 mm, hand-finished edges.

Backlit & LED engineering

This is a working lighting design, not a decorative afterthought. Each pillar carries a concealed warm-white 3000 K SMD LED strip (24 V, IP20, CRI > 90) in an aluminium channel recessed 3 mm into the pillar rear. Standard build includes: hidden driver in the base plinth, 1.5 m braided cord to the nearest 5 A socket, and a rocker switch on the base lip. Optional upgrades: 0–100% dimmer, RGB + warm-white combo for festival modes (gold for Diwali, red for Navratri, blue for Janmashtami), motion-sensor activation, or Alexa/Google Home integration on a Wi-Fi controller. The LED is diya-temperature (~3000 K) by default because that is the closest match to ghee-lamp warmth; a cooler 4000 K temple-bell-white is available on request.
