Wall-Mount Corian Mandir for Home
This wall-mount Corian mandir for home centres the pooja room around a fully customisable backdrop panel — the part of a shrine you actually look at during aarti. The Corian back panel can be plain, carved with a kalash band, embossed with an om or overlaid with a printed family-deity graphic behind a protective clear-coat. The piece hangs on a concealed steel cleat, clears the floor entirely, and reads as a floating shrine rather than a piece of furniture. Hand-carved and finished in our Mumbai factory by Satguru Creations since 1975 — 10,000-plus installations across India and export to four continents.
Styles this backdrop suits
Four interior fits read cleanly on this design. Designer apartment — a 30 inch standard with a plain Glacier White backdrop and a hairline gold band at the top edge. Contemporary Indian home — a 36 inch width with carved kalash motif across the backdrop and warm ivory Corian. Heritage Gujarati-Marwari style — a 42 inch width with a peacock and lotus backdrop, dual-tone gloss-on-matte finish. Overseas condo — a 30 inch width with a mirror-finish deity panel that reflects the idol, so the shrine reads brighter in apartments with limited natural light. Backdrop artwork is always approved by you at the 3D render stage before we cut Corian.
Backdrop craftsmanship
The backdrop is the hero of this mandir, so the craft goes into it. Our artisans begin with a CNC-routed Corian panel at the chosen width, then hand-carve the motif band at 6 to 10 mm depth. If the customer chooses a printed deity graphic, the image is sub-surface transferred onto a Corian blank and sealed under a clear UV-stable coat — not a sticker. For plain backdrops, we hand-polish the Corian to a mirror-smooth gloss that reflects diya light softly. The floating base ledge that holds idols is joined to the backdrop with a hand-polished seamless chemical bond — no visible seam, no screw heads on the show face. The complete assembly hangs on a concealed Z-cleat load-tested to 50 kg, with drywall, brick and concrete anchor options shipped in the box.
Material and why Corian
We build only in DuPont-grade Corian — authentic acrylic solid surface, not PVC-acrylic lookalikes that yellow in two seasons. Corian takes a hand-carved motif without chipping, accepts a seamless chemical joint that hides the seam, and wipes clean of ghee splatter with a damp cloth. Forty-plus colour options are stocked — Glacier White, Designer White, Warm Ivory, Pearl Gray, Canvas and more. Finish choices are high-gloss, satin-matte or dual-tone. The material is lighter than marble and will not warp like wood, which matters on a wall-mount where weight and dimensional stability are critical.
Size specifications
Sizes are tuned to keep depth low and height comfortable for standing aarti. Apartment 24 inch W x 12 inch D x 30 inch H. Standard 30 inch W x 14 inch D x 36 inch H — most-ordered size for Indian 2-BHK homes. Large 36 inch W x 16 inch D x 42 inch H. Premium 42 inch W x 18 inch D x 48 inch H. Villa 48 inch W x 18 inch D x 54 inch H — widest floating backdrop we offer. Corian panel thickness is 12 mm standard or 19 mm premium for the backdrop itself, with reinforced 19 mm stock used under the base ledge. Every dimension is customisable to the inch at quote stage.

Why Satguru Creations
We are the factory. Founded in 1975, Satguru Creations was Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer, now in its third generation. Over 10,000 Corian mandirs delivered, 4.8 out of 5 from 291 verified reviews, and a combined 200-plus years of carving experience in the artisan team. We build only with DuPont-grade Corian, ship every piece under a lifetime consultation guarantee, and deliver to 28 Indian states plus 18 US states, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe.
Team expertise
Three generations of the founding family run the factory. In-house Vastu-trained architects lead design. Our production engineer programmes every CNC job personally. Six senior artisans hand-carve the Corian, each with 15 to 30 years on acrylic solid surface specifically. Backdrop artwork is vetted by our printed-surface technician before sealing, and wall-cleat engineering is signed off by the lead fabricator. Nothing is outsourced — that is why the backdrop reads clean for decades.

Frequently asked questions
Q: How is the backdrop graphic applied — is it a sticker?
No. Printed deity artwork is sub-surface transferred onto the Corian blank and sealed under a clear UV-stable coat. It cannot peel, bubble or fade like a sticker, and is wipe-clean.
Q: Will the wall-mount hold in my 2-BHK on a drywall partition?
Yes. The steel cleat is rated 50 kg and ships with toggle-bolt anchors for drywall. On a party-wall brick partition we supply masonry plugs. Every configuration is verified at the consult stage.
Q: Can I change the deity artwork later?
The backdrop panel is a single bonded piece, so the artwork cannot be swapped later. At the render stage we lock the motif with you before cutting Corian, so the first decision is the final one. Separate add-on shelves can carry extra deities.
Q: Is the base ledge deep enough for two idols side by side?
Yes on the 30 inch and larger sizes. The standard 30 inch gives 14 inches of depth, which takes two medium idols plus a diya. For three idols we recommend the 36 inch large or the stepped tier option.
Q: Does the mandir come assembled or flat-pack for export?
For India we deliver fully assembled. For export the mandir ships flat-pack with numbered parts, diagrammed assembly manual and a WhatsApp video walkthrough. Most overseas assemblies finish in under two hours.
Q: Can the wall-mount be relocated if we move house?
Yes. The Corian body lifts off the cleat, the cleat unscrews from the old wall, and we supply a spare anchor kit for the new wall. The mandir itself is unaffected.
