Craftsmanship — how a flat-pack can still feel premium

A flat-pack is only as good as its joints. On this build, every connecting edge is CNC-machined with a captive dowel profile so the parts self-locate on assembly — you cannot mount a panel crooked because the geometry does not allow it. Hardware is captive threaded steel inserts fitted at our factory, not cheap plastic cam locks — the mandir assembles and disassembles dozens of times over its life without a loose joint. Every panel face is hand-finished before it leaves the workshop; the flat-pack format does not shortcut the polish step. Material and finish

Visible faces are UV-stable high-grade cast acrylic, graded for non-yellowing across years of daily diya use and windowed sunlight. The carcass is 18 mm BWP plywood, edge-banded in matching acrylic so no raw ply is visible even at the assembly seams. Compared with a full Corian mandir this unit is about half the weight, which is precisely why it is possible to flat-pack it at all; compared with solid wood it will not warp across monsoons; compared with pressed PVC-acrylic sheet (the flat-pack grade used by cheap imports that yellows in 18 months) this grade holds clarity for years. Our Corian line uses DuPont-grade acrylic solid surface — this acrylic range uses the same artisan hands on a lighter material.

This design (Standard flat-pack) 48" W x 30" D x 15" H footprint folding to approximately 4ft x 2.5ft x 1.25ft assembled — ships in three small parcels. Large 48" W x 30" D x 72" H — four parcels, walk-up-friendly. Premium 60" W x 36" D x 84" H — five parcels for villa installations. Temple-hall 72" W x 42" D x 96" H — crated for built-to-site community installs. Acrylic thickness is 8 mm for panels and 12 mm for structural faces.
