Craftsmanship — carving the Om right

A carved Om is harder to get right than a printed Om because the symbol's curves are unforgiving — a millimetre of asymmetry on the upper crescent reads as wrong. Our carving protocol uses a two-stage process: rough CNC routing to 80% of final depth, then hand-chisel and hand-polish on every internal curve at our Mumbai factory. The relief depth is 6–12 mm depending on the size you select. The storage drawers below ride on full-extension ball-bearing runners with soft-close damping; cabinet doors close on concealed magnetic catches. A continuous dust-resistant gasket seals every drawer edge. Drawer interiors are lined with a scratch-resistant matte panel for silverware. Material & finish

Body, Om backplate and storage plinth are DuPont-grade acrylic solid-surface Corian. Non-porous; will not yellow. The seam between the Om relief and the backplate is chemically welded so the carved symbol reads as carved-from-solid, not as glued-on. Forty-plus DuPont colour codes are stocked; high-gloss, satin or matte finish. The Om can be hand-finished in a contrasting tone (e.g. ivory body with a dark-graphite Om) or in matched tone with backlight as the only differentiator.
