Design theme and interior fit

The 3D lotus pedestal suits four interior directions: (1) designer villa pooja room — pearl-white body, deep-carved lotus, warm-ivory dimmable halo, full arch with carved kalash; (2) contemporary Indian — Glacier White body, lotus kept as the only ornament, straight pillars; (3) heritage Gujarati-Marwari home — lotus paired with a peacock arch, dual-tone finish, gold-leaf petal tips; (4) modern apartment — shallow-carved lotus, matte white body, understated. The lotus is a Vastu-auspicious motif for the sanctum pedestal, which is why it reads correctly across very different interior palettes.

Craftsmanship — carving the lotus in Corian

A 3D lotus is the hardest motif we carve in Corian because no two petals are at the same depth. Our Mumbai team CNC-routes each petal to its own Z-depth (6 to 14 mm) and then finishes the petal tips and overlapping edges by hand-chisel and micro-grit pad. The petal inside surfaces are polished to high-gloss so the LED halo reflects off the inner petal wall and bounces onto the deity idol — this is what gives the deity the sunrise-like glow. The petal crown accepts the LED channel recessed 3 mm and hidden from every viewing angle; the halo reads as a soft crown of light around the bloom. Depth of carving: 14 mm on the outer petals, hand-finished edges on every petal tip.

Material and finish

Built from DuPont-grade Corian, the same acrylic solid surface used in premium kitchen counters and hospital labs. 40+ shade options. Corian is non-porous, seamless when bonded, and stable under LED heat — the lotus carving will not crack along the petal curves the way MDF or cheap acrylic does. It does not yellow, it does not stain from ghee or kumkum, and it does not warp in monsoon humidity or USA central heating. Standard finish is high-gloss on the lotus and satin-matte on the body, so the bloom catches light and the body stays calm.
