White Corian Home Temple with Hinged Doors

Open-altar mandirs look beautiful but collect dust and agarbatti smoke on the deity year-round. This white Corian home temple with doors is built for families who prefer to keep the deity enclosed between aartis — dust-free, smoke-free, and undisturbed. The doors are full-height hinged panels in matching pearl-white Corian, running on soft-close concealed hinges that shut silently and align precisely. Open during aarti, closed between. The overall silhouette is a gentle arched-top body with a clean flat plinth; the finish is our signature high-gloss pearl-white that lifts evening diya light. Built by Satguru Creations — Mumbai's first Corian mandir manufacturer since 1975, 10,000+ mandirs delivered across India and exported to USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe.

Design theme and style fit

This doored white home temple suits (1) apartment pooja rooms where daily agarbatti and diya use leaves smoke deposits on an open altar; (2) homes with young children or pets where enclosing the idol during the day protects both the deity and the child; (3) joint-family homes that perform large festival aartis and keep the deity closed on non-puja days; (4) homes near main roads in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata where window-borne dust is a daily issue; and (5) NRI homes in USA, UK, Canada and Australia where the home temple is in a kitchen-adjacent pooja corner that benefits from door protection.

Craftsmanship that separates this design

Doored mandirs fail at two points: hinge action and door-panel alignment. Cheap hinges sag within a year; misaligned door panels never close flush. Our solution: concealed soft-close hinges rated for 50,000 open-close cycles, fitted with factory-adjustable tension so doors close precisely flush to the body. Door panels are full-height single Corian sheets — no visible joints on the face. Door edges are hand-chamfered to 2 mm bevel matching the body. When closed, the gap between door panels is less than 1.5 mm and reads as a crisp vertical line. Every DuPont thermal-bonded seam is hand-polished invisible. Every piece clears our 32-point QC check: hinge alignment, door flush, seam integrity, polish uniformity, load test.

Material and finish

DuPont-grade Corian on both body and doors — authentic acrylic solid surface, UV-stable, non-porous. Unlike marble, lighter and impact-tolerant. Unlike wood doors, no warping across Indian and export climates (wooden mandir doors are notorious for warping and losing their flush alignment). Unlike cheap PVC-acrylic, no yellowing of the white finish. Over 40 DuPont colour codes: Pearl White (shown), Glacier White, Designer White, Warm Ivory, Canvas and stone-effect options. High-gloss pearl-white is our most-ordered doored-design finish.

Size specifications

Five standard sizes; every dimension customisable. Compact 28" W × 20" D × 52" H with double-door front — apartment pooja corner. Standard 40" W × 24" D × 64" H with double-door front — most-ordered family size. Large 52" W × 30" D × 76" H with quad-panel bifold doors — dedicated pooja rooms. Premium 64" W × 36" D × 86" H with quad-panel bifold doors and concealed drawer — villa shrine. Temple-hall 78" W × 42" D × 100" H+ with full-width bifold — built-to-site. Corian thickness 12 mm standard / 19 mm premium. Door overlap, clearance and gap configuration tuned on consult.

Customisation — what you can change

  • Corian colour: Pearl White, Glacier White, Designer White, Warm Ivory or any DuPont sheet code.
  • Door configuration: double-door hinged (shown), bifold quad panel, sliding pocket door, or jali fretwork door with pattern.
  • Door handle: concealed push-open (shown), small brass knob, flush recessed pull, or no-handle touch-open.
  • Silhouette: gentle arched-top (shown), domed crown, flat-top minimalist, or gopuram peak.
  • Storage: open altar inside doors, concealed drawer below, side cabinet, or agarbatti compartment.
  • Deity panel: plain, engraved Om, printed family deity, mirror-finish, or backlit acrylic backplate.
  • Finish: high-gloss pearl-white (shown), satin matte, or dual-tone (matte body + gloss doors).

Space suitability

Apartment pooja room: the standard 40″ double-door suits 2-BHK Mumbai and Pune flats where daily dust and smoke build-up is common. Joint-family villa: the large 52″ quad-panel bifold allows full opening for festival aartis and neat closure between. Villa shrine with daily-puja-only access: the premium 64″ with concealed drawer and bifold doors. 1-BHK with children: the compact 28″ with soft-close hinges protects the deity from child reach. NRI condo kitchen-adjacent pooja corner: the standard 40″ keeps cooking smells and oil mist off the deity between aartis.

The process — factory to install

  1. Consult on WhatsApp (+91 83693 35359). Share pooja-room photos, preferred door configuration, deity. 30-minute session.
  2. 3D render in 48 hours showing doors both open and closed. Two revisions included.
  3. Quote — fixed all-in: Corian + doors + soft-close hinges + delivery or export crate + install.
  4. Manufacture at the Mumbai factory. Lead time 12–16 working days (door alignment adds 1–2 days).
  5. 32-point QC before crating: hinge alignment, door flush, gap consistency, seam integrity, polish, load test.
  6. Despatch — corner-padded crating with door latches engaged and protective film. Pan-India 3–7 days; export 14–25 days sea or 5–8 days air.
  7. Install — white-glove in India; remote WhatsApp-video support for export.

Why Satguru Creations

Since 1975, Satguru Creations has been Mumbai's first and longest-running Corian mandir manufacturer. 10,000+ mandirs delivered across 28 Indian states and 18 US states. 4.8/5 average from 291 verified customers. Doored mandirs demand a factory with hinge-hardware expertise plus Corian panel-alignment craft — most traders do not have both. Authentic DuPont-grade Corian; lifetime consultation guarantee. Three-generation family business; six senior artisans 15 to 30 years each on Corian.

Expertise behind this mandir

Door alignment on Corian is not a CNC problem — it is a hand-finish problem. Our senior carvers hand-adjust each door-panel edge after CNC cut to ensure a consistent 1.5 mm gap around the full perimeter. Our production engineer spec-tests every soft-close hinge at 10,000 cycles of simulated open-close before installation. In-house architects set the door-to-body proportion so the closed mandir reads as a unified piece rather than a cabinet-with-doors. Licensed electrician vets any internal backlit deity panel addition.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Are the hinges really soft-close or just regular?
Soft-close concealed hinges rated for 50,000 open-close cycles. Doors close silently and align flush without slam. No sag, no creak, no alignment drift over years of daily use.

Q: Do the doors allow space inside for a full brass family deity?
Yes. Door clearance and interior depth are specified against your idol dimensions on the consult call. Standard interior depth on the standard size is 22″ — enough for most family deities with aarti thali in front.

Q: Can I keep agarbatti lit inside with the doors closed?
We recommend keeping doors open during active agarbatti or diya use — closed doors plus open flame creates trapped smoke. Corian is heat-tolerant but direct flame against an enclosed interior is not ideal. Doors can be kept open during aarti and closed afterwards.

Q: Will the doors warp in Indian humidity like wooden mandir doors?
No. Corian is non-porous and does not absorb moisture. Unlike wood doors which warp, swell and lose alignment within a few monsoons, Corian doors retain their precise flush alignment across decades.

Q: Can I choose jali fretwork doors instead of solid doors?
Yes. Jali fretwork doors in Corian with custom pattern (geometric, floral, or traditional mandir-jali) are available. They allow some airflow while still framing the deity.

Q: Do the doors lock for families with young children?
A child-safe soft-close tension retains the doors closed against casual pulls. Full lock options (small brass cabinet lock or child-safe magnetic lock) are available on request during consult.
